Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

The Key To Our Success:
COLLABORATION
v Much of our success with implementation of the grant and building technology in our curriculum has come from the collaboration of the technology facilitator and the middle school librarian. v We attend numerous technology trainings together, build skills together, and have learned to feed off of each other while working with everyone in the school. v We have similar philosophies about how to teach technology and focus on the benefits to the classroom teachers, students, and the overall school environment. v This partnership has allowed us to always have a support system in place when the other is out of the building or busy working with another teacher. v We have seen the benefits, not only in the number of projects we have worked on with teachers, but also in the way the teachers have responded to technology. v The middle school has been re-designated as a Don Eichorn Schools to Watch for 2010-2013. v We have also recently received the Pennsylvania School Boards Association Schools of Excellence in Technology Award
So, Where Are We Going?
New EETT Grant: · $195,000 · Incorporates 5th – 8th grade · Elementary Facilitator · Salaries for Middle and Elementary substitute positions Classroom responders · 30 laptops for middle school · Flip Videos · Elmo’s
Basically, the idea is to keep what we have already put into place working while encouraging teachers to go beyond and to integrate even more tools to increase student achievement and engagement.
